Camp Qungaayux̂ Registration

Camp Qungaayux̂ is designed to bring Unangax̂ Elders, Mentors, and Western science biologists together with the younger generation in order to teach traditional subsistence and cultural practices which will encourage cultural and environmental awareness. It also familiarizes students with threats to their culture and environment, encourages cultural and environmental stewardship, helps them gain an understanding of Unangax̂ traditional knowledge, language, values and skills, and encourages them to think of natural resource management in the Aleutian area as a career.
